Talofa lava, malo e lelei, and welcome to my portfolio!
Since I can remember, I've been involved with basketball.  My mother bought a camera and I started shooting with it in 2019 but didn't really take myself seriously until late 2024.  My beautiful mum passed away through cancer in 2023 and being involved with basketball has been something that I have done because of her incredible influence.

I love to tell stories, whether it be with a pen, or through the lens.
Sport has been a vehicle for many things in my life. It has created opportunities and given me experiences I never imagined, but more than anything, it has connected me to people.  Through sport, I’ve built relationships that extend far beyond the game, with friends, family, and communities.
There is a Māori proverb that says:
“He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tangata, he tangata, he tangata.”
What is the most important thing in the world? It is the people.
This whakatauki (proverb) shapes the way I see and capture sport.  For me, it’s not just about the action, but about the emotion, the connection, and the moments in between; the quiet focus, the pride, the team's energy.
Being from the Pacific, representation has always mattered to me.  I am intentional about capturing our people in ways that feel real and honest, highlighting both strength and humanity.  These images reflect how I see the game, not just as competition, but as a space where culture, identity, and community come together.

Team Tonga.
A photo of Tonga's small forward, Langi.  They had a tough game against Hong Kong.  She took a strong drive to the rim, getting past her defender, that's when I shot this.  This image shows Langi's determination and concentration, reflecting the mental side of performance in high-pressure situations.

Referees.
A lineup of officials before the game begins. This portrait highlights presence, authority, and the often overlooked individuals who help shape the game.  One of these referees is the only referee from Oceania, and she is a young woman.  How special it was for me to capture her great work!

Team Iran.
A heartfelt moment between the U15 Iranian women.  A quiet moment between teammates during a break in play. This image captures connection and reassurance, showing the emotional side of competition that sometimes goes unseen.
